The FSV-25 MARK-2 is a black-box full-circle scanning sonar system designed for commercial fishing vessels and workboats. It offers long-range 360° underwater detection, enhanced signal processing, and advanced fish tracking features. The system rapidly deploys its hull transducer and provides target tracking and fish marking to support efficient fish finding and seabed analysis.

FURUNO FSV-25 MARK-2 – Full-Circle Scanning Sonar

  1. 20 kHz full digital beam-forming scanning sonar with 360° coverage.
  2. Extended detection range — detection range improved by approx. 30%, allowing identification of fish schools at several kilometers distance.
  3. Automatic target lock & tracking — automatically tracks fish schools and calculates distance, depth, speed and angle of movement.
  4. Fish Mark 2 feature — up to 20 fish marks can be entered per mark type for better data analysis.
  5. Histogram & echo data processing — fish distribution histogram and clear echo data display.
  6. Signal stabilization — beam stabilizer compensates for vessel roll and pitch to improve echo consistency.
  7. Transducer deployment control — fast extend/retract (12 s for 1200 mm, 16 s for 1600 mm) plus stop position control.
  8. Graphical hull-unit indicator — shows real-time transducer position for safer operation.
  9. Optional compatibility with 3D Sonar Visualizer applications
